Sarah Morton Taggart – Zenna Henderson and the Mexican Revolution (Zine, 2024)

This 32-page digest-size zine from Sarah Morton Taggart was published in May 2024 and is another in a series of zines in which Taggart explores details and stories about people in her family tree and publishes her findings in zine format.

Of course, I devoured the four I purchased at a local zine fest.

This one is about Zenna Henderson who Sarah discovered was a a science fiction author in the 1950-1960’s, even having a film made by Francis Ford Coppola based on one of her books (The People, 1972).

Sarah goes into her background of having lived in a Mormon polygamist community in Mexico and fleeing when it was burned to the ground. Moving to Arizona and teaching school, etc.

It’s a fascinating zine experience. Reach out to Sarah through her website at

I believe in finding the innate truth behind the music, and bringing that forward. I listened to the feeling and rhythm, letting the tempo become ingrained on my soul. And then I sped it all up twice as fast and sang about dicks.Matthew Lee aka Sausage Boy
