Recordings: Belinda Subraman – Sensations

Belinda Subraman (U.S.) : words and VOX, Phil Ogison: musician in Canada, Ralf “Gypsy” Bevis: musican in England

I had worked with Ralf years ago on cassettes through the mail.   Although I enjoyed working with him I think we had forgotten about our projects after many years. This year after finding me on Facebook he asked if I’d like to do anther project.  I enthusiastically said yes. He also said he was currently working with Phil Ogison in Canada.  Of course these days you can send MP3 tracks through the email and everything goes faster.  We bounced tracks around.  Ralf did the mixing.

I made a little video to go with the track.

I think we all winged it pretty well.  I strung a few sensual poems together.  I feel my voice was used more as a sensual instrument as the words are mixed down quite a bit.  I still like this piece alot and feel Ralf and Phil are excellent musicans. It was all a play off of each other and it was a very good experiment through the email. — Belinda Subraman

We reached out to 100 or so of our closest recording artist friends to make an mp3 CD of music and discussions around the making of each track. The full album is available as a free download on the Internet Archive. An index is HERE on GAJOOB linking to pages of discussions. Discussions Vol. 2 is open for recordings. Submit your discussion HERE.
