The inspiration for the piece was Craig Conley’s lyrics, which were originally part of Captive Audience’s “Esperantoland” project, from the late 1990s. The recording process was entirely with Apple’s GarageBand software, based on the opening guitar arpeggio measure. Between it and the lyrics, everything else pretty much fell into place (over a period of 3 weeks).
We reached out to 100 or so of our closest recording artist friends to make an mp3 CD of music and discussions around the making of each track.
