Wallmen
The Walllmen began as a loose dada subgenius 4-track studio band of 3 or 5 people living in New Jersey, and honing that into their own kind of pop rock maintaining an off-kilter bent. They appear on GAJOOB compilations at the time and I once woke up Jethro Deluxe for a phone interview.
