Jeff Jarvie made home tapes under the band names, The Cheapskaters and Mystery Tramps in the late 80s to early 90s. It was raw, folk punk with obsessive culture references and conpsiracy theories with a persecution complex. Mike Gunderloy banned him from Factsheet Five (Jarvie produced a lot of tapes). His column, Speculation, started appearing in GAJOOB shortly thereafter.
GAJOOB is published by Briyan Frederick (aka Bryan Baker) since 1985, in print and online. You’ll find archival and new stuff here. Send me yours. Join a project and create something new. DiY art for art’s sake.
