DPRP.net: Gateway to the Progressive Underground

Since 1995, DPRP.net (The Dutch Progressive Rock Page) has been a beacon for progressive music explorers around the globe. Much like GAJOOB, it champions independent creators, diving deep into sounds that defy mainstream molds—whether sprawling prog epics, jazzy post-rock, or cinematic ambient concept albums.

DPRP isn’t about flash; it’s about substance. Their vault includes thousands of album reviews, interviews, concert writeups, and editorials that span every flavor of prog and experimental music. From household legends to bedroom-recorded visionaries, DPRP treats every artist with the same journalistic depth and curiosity.

Of note to longtime GAJOOB readers, DPRP has recently taken on the Thru Black Holes Band archive as well as the Aural Innovations archive with CRGIII’s Lo Finest Radio Show.

What we admire most is its consistency and passion. Few music sites last three decades. Fewer still keep evolving. DPRP remains a trusted source for thoughtful, well-written reviews that honor the spirit of independent music.

If you’re making music that twists genres, tells stories, or breaks the time signature rulebook—get your work on DPRP’s radar. And if you’re a listener looking for something outside the algorithm, it’s a rabbit hole worth diving into.
